Maury native pens first novel titled ‘Tomorrows’

TN- A Maury County native has published his first book titled “Tomorrows.”
Recently released by Tate Publishing & Enterprises, the novel by James R. Brady Sr., is filled with sadness, compassion, humor and action that will fill one’s heart with laughter and tears as they follow the travelers in their uphill battles to face uncertain futures. Young Edward Hunter, coming from a prosperous and religious family and equipped with education and ambition, is no exception as he ventures out into the early American frontier.
‘Tomorrows’ details the events as Edward seeks revenge for a brother’s death, traveling a trail between Raleigh, N.C., and Little Rock in the Arkansas Territory. When he crosses paths with a destitute family, Edward puts his journey on hold to offer aid. However, he soon finds that this troubled mother and her three children are heading in the same direction.

Brady currently has another book at the publishers titled “The Rocking H,” which is a sequel to “Tomorrows.” “I should know in about six weeks when it will be published,” he said.
Brady grew up in rural Maury County, in a wide spot in the road known as Fly’s Bottom or New Fly’s Village, depending on who you ask. A 1960 graduate of Santa Fe High School, he currently lives in Lawrenceburg.
He is the father of five children and grandfather of three. During his life, Brady has worked on farms, in the forestry service, held several factory jobs and been a route salesman for three different companies. He is retired from a plant in Lawrenceburg and works part time at Wal-Mart.
