Malibu Surfside features Tate author’s Beverly Hills Book Award

Tate author Karen Ann Smythe recently received recognition for topping the Children’s Non-Fiction category in the 4th Annual Beverly Hills Book Awards for her storybook, “Fredrick the Butterfly.”

In a media feature on the Malibu Surfside, Smythe is seen with her daughter, Veronica Turner, while holding her plaque of recognition.

“Fredrick the Butterfly” is a story about a true and incredible experience shared by a family when they save a butterfly’s life. This simple and heartwarming tale celebrates the wonders and true essence of nature and at the same time, inspires children and adults to embrace life and to live in harmony with God’s creation.
