Carlsbad author spins chaotic adventure with clones in new novel
CARLSBAD, N.M. — Readers find themselves in multiple troubles in author Shawn Orgain’s humor-filled, new novel, “Phyle of a Scorpion,” which will be up for grabs nationwide this week.
There is nobody better than you! What would this world be like without you? Imagine if there were two of you! Life couldn’t get any better than that…or could it? Imagine if there were four of you! Everyone you know wouldn’t know how to handle it! Now imagine if there were eight of you, including yourself, but you had no idea they even existed.
It all began when Shawnyboy Watkins made a wish that he had a twin, not knowing what he was about to get himself into. In “Phyle of a Scorpion,” clones of Watkins began showing up in his life one by one, each having their own impact. The damages alone could be Watkins’ undoing. Everything he has earned and built could be lost in a matter of days! Could it be stopped on time? What will happen if it can’t be stopped at all? Better yet, why are there so many clones?
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Orgain’s humor, which was only something for fun at the time, became a hobby on demand through his creativity. The ability to catch his audience off guard with his snap comedy has everyone he has ever come across start off a conversation with “I remember when you did that one thing!” Originality is the author’s number one rule, so it is important that he stands out in his own unique way. His dream is to bring his creativity to the big screen and to share it with the world. Orgain currently resides in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
