Oshkosh author shares battle with life-altering muscle disease in riveting new book
OSHKOSH, Wis. — Author Gary Beyer announces the nationwide release of his new inspiring book, “I Promise I’ll Pay Attention.”
In “I Promise I’ll Pay Attention,” Beyer shares his experiences and insights after he was diagnosed with an untreatable type of muscle disease, shortly after the start of 2008. He and his wife’s lives were about to change in ways neither of them could have imagined. However, he points out that living with a progressively debilitating disease doesn’t make you progressively less relevant. It makes you progressively less presumptive.
In this book, the readers will find how Beyer and his wife have reached a point in their lives where they were no longer striving for anything major. They were in a good place because they appreciated each other’s love and enjoyed each other’s company. They realized that they were fortunate to have found each other and also thankful for their many blessings. Share Beyer’s inspiring realizations and enthusiasm for life inside the pages of “I Promise I’ll Pay Attention.”
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Beyer, who was born in Wisconsin, was born on Father’s Day in 1953. He hit the trifecta on that date because such recognition also fell on the first day of summer and registered as the longest day of the year. He wrote “You Must Answer This” in late 2013 and completed “I Promise I’ll Pay Attention” on Mother’s Day of 2015.
