Gresham author delves deep on common health care issue in new book
GRESHAM, Ore. — This week marks the nationwide release of author Claudia Johnson’s eye-opening new book, “Don’t Let Mom Run Out of Money Before She Runs Out of Life.”
In this enlightening read, Johnson’s experience in long-term care drives her passion, empathy and compassion for the people she’s taken care of. Her mission is to expose the greed and financial exploitation of the long-term care system and to help people to make better long-term care choices to conserve their resources through long-term care and beyond.
Johnson set out on a life-long career path to care for those in need in one way or another, and that is a path that springs out of a choice for a purpose-driven life. On this path, she discovered the greed and the corruption that exploit those she has cared for; and when she did, she knew something had to be done about it through exposure and information. Information belongs to the people; and without it, the people cannot make the right informed decisions.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Johnson is a nurse with many years of experience in long-term care, acute hospital care and critical care. She is blowing the whistle on long-term care industry practices and exposing the truth of how citizens are getting ripped off by this multibillion-dollar industry, which is sucking the financial life out of the people needing it the most.
Johnson, who resides in Gresham, Oregon, is also an honorably discharged Air Force Nurse Corps nurse.
