Richmond author leads readers to the path of healing, spiritual growth through new Christian book
RICHMOND, Ky. — Author Daphne Freeman announces the nationwide release of her new book, “The Tale of Two Tamars: From Desolation to Destiny.”
In “The Tale of Two Tamars,” the author lays out the stories of two women of the Bible who had the same name but had different circumstances. The first Tamar recognized she wasn’t simply destined to family betrayal, and her persistence gave birth to a destiny that God called righteous! Later in scripture, another woman, who was also named Tamar, was raped by her half-brother, Amnon. As the daughter of King David, Tamar should have lived the life of an exquisite princess. However, she didn’t have the faith to trust in the Lord, instead, choosing to remain a defeated victim in a state of desolation.
“The Tale of Two Tamars” tells their stories, living many years and miles apart plagued with debilitating events that hindered their destiny — but one passionately unlocked and laid claim to what was rightfully her inheritance.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
