Wesley Chapel author weaves engrossing story in new suspense-thriller novel
WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — This week marks the nationwide release of “A Light in the Darkness,” a gripping new novel by author Heather Kerns Howe.
When Sera comes home to find her house ransacked and her parents missing, she knows only one thing: She must find a way to survive. Ever since Haglan had taken over as president, the United States has changed in immeasurable ways. The United States has become a terrible, dark place to live. Sera has been forced to live the life of a common criminal, always trying to evade the law. She must now live in the darkness, hiding from those who are trying to capture her.
In “A Light in the Darkness,” Sera must learn to stay hidden from those in authority. The law has become so corrupted that being captured by the so-called police has become extremely dangerous. Sera didn’t know what had happened to her parents, but she knew that Haglan had been after them. She can’t bear to think of what terrible things could possibly be happening to them. To make matters worse, Sera has to decide to trust a mysterious stranger who seems to have information that Sera has been longing for.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
