Dover author enlightens believers on book of Psalms in easy-to-read Christian book
DOVER, Del. — This week marks the nationwide release of author Ernest T. Davis II’s new biblical book, “I Sing Him: He Gave Me Psalms.”
“I Sing Him” is a reflection on specific psalms recorded in the Bible. While there are five divisions and 150 psalms in our canonized Bible, only Psalms 23, 37 and 91 are given a reflective pen.
While it is not to be a theological dissertation, this book is intended to give a person a casual view through the eyes of the author. It is desired that this will be a blessing in the body of Christ and possibly a travel devotional given its small size.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Davis, who was born and raised in Washington, D.C., is world-traveled with the United States Army in addition to various mission trips to the Caribbean along with urban missions within the United States. While he is passionate about community and business development for those in the body of Christ, he is also active in the personal mentorship of young people. He encourages them to ask questions concerning biblical or religious training and assists them in becoming grounded in the Word of God, all while enjoying their youth. He encourages people that holy living does not mean total seclusion from society.
Davis’ educational studies have been completed at Alvernia University, Palmer Theological Seminary and Andersonville Theological Seminary. His desire is to serve the body of Christ in any needed capacity. His often unedited testimony of being delivered from various abuses, substances, mindsets and behaviors presents a much needed message for the body of Christ for today. He loves to embrace and fellowship with those who wish to understand the practical and pragmatic application of the Gospel in modern-day life.
