Parsonsburg author pens tweens’ growing-up journey in fourth book in series
PARSONSBURG, Md. — Author Floyd Twilley pens another coming-of-age tale in “Adventures in the Tree Hollow Glen Vol. 4: Best Friends Forever.” This entertaining new sequel to Twilley’s family book series is set for nationwide release this week.
In the fourth volume of “Adventures in Tree Hollow Glen,” 12-year-old twins, Mason and Marisa O’Connell, are at a special point in their lives. They’re leaving behind childhood and on their way to becoming adults. There’s no doubt this will involve new and different adventures.
Life on their grandfather’s 800-acre ranch is one long adventure. Now, for Mason and Marisa, new adventures lie ahead as they mature. Their lives are opening up to rich and wonderful possibilities. “Best Friends Forever” is both an ending and a beginning.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Twilley, who was born and raised in Maryland’s eastern shore, has a family that includes two domineering cats. The author, who has grandchildren in California, South Carolina, Florida and Delaware, is learning to be a long-distance grandpa.
Besides helping to lead worship at his church and to guide the newly-formed clown ministry team, Twilley enjoys crafting, reading, cooking and gardening. He is also an eager volunteer at a local outreach center for homeless men.
