Somerville author weaves riveting tale in new Christian fantasy novel

Brizendine, who serves as pastor at First Baptist Church of Somerville, Texas, has been in vocational ministry since 1989. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas Tech University and a Master’s of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. “Banner of the Red Dragon,” which is the sequel to Brizendine’s first novel, “The Fire,” continues to combine classic fantasy with a story of faith.
