Derwood author shares heartfelt story of a father’s fight against leukemia in new children’s book
DERWOOD, Md. — Author Rebecca Shipe announces the nationwide release of her new children’s book, “My Daddy is a Leukemia Super Hero.” Shipe will release the hardback edition of her touching book in October.
In this heartfelt children’s book, follow 9-year-old Jillian and her Daddy as they journey through the daunting road of cancer. Over the course of several months, Jillian learns that her Daddy Is a Leukemia Super Hero after he courageously fights off the evil leukemia cells. Shipe is an office manager of her local family flooring business and a mother of two. Shipe is also the wife of Chris, who fought his way through acute lymphoblastic leukemia also known as ALL. Shipe is currently based in Derwood, Maryland.
