Columbia author shares inspiring poetry about life in book’s hardback release
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Author Du-Leesa Martine Morris announces the nationwide hardback release of her insightful poetry book, “The Leaves of Life.”
In “The Leaves of Life,” Morris shares how the weight of time pressing gently on her shoulders and the lines under her eyes reflect her life’s journey. She likens this with the rings that are shown on the mighty oak trees. She reflects — in a most poetic manner — how the trees are nearly barren now as her ancestors have gone to rest; the new buds appear to replace the ones that have left.
In this deep reflection, readers will smile with the author as she remembers the warm, sweet memories of times past and tells stories of strength and will to survive with triumphant victories.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Morris resides in South Carolina with her beloved Pomeranian, Wolf. Morris, who is retired from university administration, is a two-time published author who continues to write inspirational poetry.
