Denton author’s new memoir inspires hope, faith amid life’s trials, tribulations
DENTON, Texas — This week marks the nationwide release of author James Earp’s heartrending new memoir, “The Governor and the Queen: The Rest of the Story.”
“The Governor and the Queen” is Earp’s account of his family’s inspiring journey through life-and-death ordeals. When Earp was diagnosed with heart failure, he assumed he wouldn’t have long to live. He had no idea that he would be offered a new lease on life while watching his son David’s slow battle with cancer. As Earp struggled with his and his son’s health crises, he both questioned and found comfort in his faith. In this inspirational story, the author talks candidly about finding hope and healing in the midst of tragedy and learning once again how to really live.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Earp, who is a graduate of the University of North Texas, lives in Denton, Texas, with his wife of 49 years and college sweetheart, Mary. Earp serves on the board of directors of Mission Possible Foundation. He is also the senior associate of James Earp and Associates.
