Leon Valley author releases hardback edition of consuming dark fantasy novel
LEON VALLEY, Texas — Author Vaelyn Mourning announces the nationwide hardback release of her gripping novel, “Draster Dynasty.”
In “Draster Dynasty,” Zealene and her friends thought that she was just like any other person on the planet — until they were proven wrong in the most volatile way possible. The murder of her classmates and the fear of harming her family or anyone else that gets too close take Zealene on a journey to not only a new city but a new way of life. Not only did her entire world change around her, but so did her physiology.
Zealene, who was no longer human, set out to find the answers to her many questions in a city called Draster. If she let her guard down for only a moment, she could become the daughter of wrath and be forever lost in power-lust, killing for sport and fighting like an animal. However, this fear drove her to understand her abilities and what she had become. Along the way, she found others like her — a new species by the name of Xyrra. Follow two main characters on either side of the coin: those who give in to the temptation of power and those who use their individual gifts for the better.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Mourning grew up in Spokane, Washington, where she spent her free time reading fiction fantasy novels, such as the “Harry Potter” and “The Mortal Instruments” series, and daydreaming, which rapidly developed into writing stories of her own with the lifelong dream of becoming a well-known author. The 22-year-old author currently lives in Texas with her husband and newborn baby boy. She is in the process of writing “Draster Dynasty and the Fates of Immortality” as well as a book series with a different plot.
