OKC author brings adventure at home in endearing new children’s book
OKLAHOMA CITY — Author Larry Derryberry announces the nationwide release of his fun-filled new children’s book, “There’s a Mouse in the House.”
You may have heard about a moose on the loose, a duck in a truck, a fish in a dish or a bug on the rug. Well, now you will hear all about a mouse in the house in Derryberry’s “There’s a Mouse in the House”! To make it worse, it was a mouse that just wouldn’t go away. You won’t believe what happened to Papa Derryberry, all because of one little mouse in the house. Sing along and find out!
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Derryberry found inspiration for his book from having been born on a cotton farm in southwest Oklahoma, where his family lived in an old house that had never been painted. It seemed like there was always a mouse in the house.
Derryberry has four published books, including the Oklahoma children’s centennial book, “The Oklahoma Scranimal.” His fun and exciting children’s books are based on songs he wrote and stories he told his four grandchildren. Derryberry, who is also an attorney, has served eight years as a member of the Oklahoma legislature and eight years as the attorney general of the State of Oklahoma. He and his wife, Gale, live in Oklahoma City.
