Cheyenne author imparts life values through brave spider’s tale in new children’s book

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Kids learn about courage and compassion in author Kitty Trock’s colorful new children’s book, “A Spider Story,” which will be available in hardback this week and in paperback on the third week of October.

In “A Spider Story,” Spider lives under the big black stove with her best friend, Cricket. Follow her story one evening, when she is nearly swept from her home — and she discovers that she is not only brave but merciful as well.

Trock lives with her family, three dogs and two cats in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She and her husband, Don, have six children and 16 grandchildren. She is also the author of a novel, “Weeding the Garden,” and a children’s book, “A Cricket Story.”
