Tulsa author takes readers to magical adventure in captivating new Christian novel
TULSA, Okla. — Author CL Hughey announces the nationwide release of his magic-filled new novel, “Out From the Emerald Woods,” which will be available in hardback this week and in paperback mid-October.
“Out From the Emerald Woods” is a magical tale that follows the life of an orphan, Michael, who is found by a reclusive wizard and is raised in the security of the Emerald Woods, discovering as he grows that he has the unusual talent of healing beyond his young years. Then one fateful day, he saves the life of a knight who propels him and his companions to go on an adventure, causing them to leave the security of the woods and travel to new lands and discover new dangers.
Follow Michael and his friends as they face the unknown that challenges everything they have ever thought or known. Their journey shows the companions that faith, loyalty and a little bit of magic can overcome even the darkest of evils.

Hughey is a USAF veteran who currently resides in Oklahoma, where she and her dog, Tierza, are currently training with a local search and rescue unit. The author has been writing stories for her family and friends since she was 10 years old, having several works in process currently as well. Currently, Hughey maintains a blog called The Spiritual Well Blogspot and a Facebook page, and leads an online Bible study group.
When she is not writing, Hughey enjoys camping, hiking, Dutch oven cooking, fishing and tuning in to Ham radio. Her favorite pastime when she needs to rejuvenate is loading up her canine companion and heading to the lake, where they spend a lot of their time swimming and playing along the shoreline.
