Lyons author shares insightful retelling of crucifixion story in new book
LYONS, Kan. — Author Katy Carlin portrays obedience through a unique perspective in her new book, “Awaiting Jesus.” This inspiring book is set for nationwide release this week.
In “Awaiting Jesus,” the author relates the struggle of obedience to God by personifying the cross. The cross comes to life in this retelling of the crucifixion and expresses the difficulty in accepting God’s call. Carlin writes in a way that will help readers to see themselves in that old, rugged cross — with hopes that the greatness of what Jesus did will never be forgotten.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Carlin lives in Lyons, Kansas, with her husband, Cord. She works full-time with young children and helps her husband with their youth group called SafeHouse. She enjoys reading, writing, baking and sipping on tea while her husband sips on coffee.
