San Diego author’s new biography teaches readers how to achieve peace in hectic life
SAN DIEGO — Author Orlando Javien gives his readers the opportunity to turn down life’s noises and find peace in God in “Stop Googling Yourself: Finding Peace in a Noisy World.” The book is set for nationwide release this week.
With a world filled with e-mail, social media, and smartphones, one would think life would be a lot simpler — so much more peaceful. Instead, people have become accustomed to a life of multitasking and trying to complete the never-ending to-do list. They have forgone peace for busyness and have wondered why their lives are overtaken by the noises of this world. Their lives are jam-packed with so much noise that it’s not surprising that many can’t hear the still small voice of God.
In “Stop Googling Yourself,” Javien shares the noises in his own life in hopes that it will help others to turn down the volume and to live their lives beyond the ordinary.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Javien is the man of many hats. He is a bookkeeper, tax preparer and domestic engineer by day and religious education teacher, author and inspirational speaker by night.
