Coffeyville author reveals sinful practices, beliefs of Christians in eye-opening new book
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. — This week marks the nationwide release of author Jim Howard’s enlightening new Christian book, “Idols and Sins Christians Love.”
In “Idols and Sins Christians Love,” Howard answers this question for his readers: What did God really mean when he said, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me?”
The author emphasizes that some modern Christians worship Satan in ignorance through their practices and idols. The Old and New Testament both talk about “sins of ignorance.” For instance, Halloween has always been authored by Satan himself, as Halloween events, parades and parties are flocked with youngsters in witchcraft and satanic costumes. Children look forward to Santa Claus or Saint Nicholas during Christmas, when in fact, Jesus is still the reason for this season. The Easter bunny and his multi-colored eggs hidden everywhere tell a lot about where Christians’ hearts are during the Easter season.
“Idols and Sins Christians Love” reveals the truth to Christian readers on what the Apostle Paul wrote in Acts 17:30: “God tolerated men’s past ignorance about these things, but now he commands everyone to put away idols and worship only him.”
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Howard was born, raised and schooled in Coffeyville, Kansas, and Waxahachie, Texas, and has served as pastor in Southeast Kansas for 20 years. He currently writes about public interest issues, novels, biographies and short stories, and all from Judeo-Christian values. His latest work involves observations over the spiritual condition of not only the USA but especially the Christian community, with the question in Matthew 7:22-23: “Are we the many-miracle workers that Jesus won’t know on Judgment Day?”
