Columbia author teaches young readers about stranger danger in new children’s book
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Author Lauren Dasher announces the nationwide release of “Freddy Frog and His Adventure,” a wonderful new children’s book that teaches kids important life lessons. The hardback edition of this kid’s read will be released next month.
In “Freddy Frog and His Adventure,” children will learn the concept of stranger danger as well as greed. Freddy teaches kids that some actions have difficult consequences, but it is how they respond to those actions that define their character.

Dasher is a first-grade teacher in Lexington, South Carolina. She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in language and literacy. She combined her love of basketball and of her favorite animal to create a character that can introduce important life skills to children. Dasher and her husband reside in Columbia, South Carolina.
