Green Bay author strengthens faith, encourages spiritual maturity through new poetry book
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Author James Manthey inspires Christians through poetry in his new book, “Rhymes Over Time: From Worldly Pain to Heavenly Gain.”
“Rhymes Over Time” is a book of Christian poetry that chronicles the stages of maturity where the majority is struggling with their identity, making choices that distance them from a righteous yet infinitely patient triune God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Only then can individuals live vicariously, stumbling in the dark through their own choices and eventually finding their way to a loving, forgiving and merciful God. This book of poetry is an exercise in analyzing the rises and falls and final victory won through faith.
In “Rhymes Over Time,” Manthey crafts a little anthology of Christian verse that will encourage readers to bear fruit in the life that God has given them as a gift, encouraging them to draw closer to him. May the journey described here of an initially wandering poet, but ultimately victorious warrior for Christ, be that light that Jesus spoke of in the Sermon on the Mount.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Manthey makes his home in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He has attained several college degrees, including a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Northwestern College and master’s degrees in classics from University of Wisconsin-Madison and Rutgers University.
