Jacksonville author spins interesting twist to new Christian novel
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Author Fylesha Christie announces the nationwide release of her engrossing new Christian novel, “Shadows of the Called.”
“Shadows of the Called” takes readers to the tale of Berry Vaughn, a 24-year-old with the love of apple pies, who has forgotten how to smile and has become bitter with the world ever since his younger brother’s passing a couple years ago. On a path of frustration and self-destruction, Vaughn awakes one night to find himself dressed in peculiar clothing, stranded in the middle of the desert, noticing further ahead figures along the horizon.
Meanwhile, Lynn, a 24-year-old preschool teacher and childhood friend of Vaughn, has a stubborn yet caring personality, with a determined will to break Vaughn’s antisocial and bleak outlook in life. But how will she react when she sees her best friend suddenly show up all smiles with a different personality?
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Christie, who is also the author of “Speak!,” pens another tale that dares to expose the darkness everyone has fought against. Inspired by her fascination with the world of animation and gaming, Christie has dedicated herself to showing a new form of supernatural Christian literature in the only way she knows how — exposing God’s light in new innovated ways. The author is currently based in Jacksonville, Florida.
