Delmar author weaves wonderful tale about new beginnings in charming new kids’ book

DELMAR, Md. — This week marks the nationwide release of “The Treasure,” a touching new children’s book by author Pat McKelvey.

In “The Treasure,” Patti and her family are welcomed by the island as they pressed their faces to the windows of the plane to get their first glimpse of their new home. What would their lives be like for the next six years on this island? Where would they live? What would they eat? Would they be happy?

As Patti and her family stepped off the plane into a new world, she and her brothers and sisters held tightly to the treasures they had chosen to bring. Would they find other treasures on this island that would make this paradise feel like home?

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

McKelvey and her husband live in Maryland, near the ocean. The parents of two children and six grandchildren are complete in their joy.
