Fair Grove author shares adorable little turtle’s big dilemma in new children’s book
FAIR GROVE, Mo. — This week marks the nationwide release of “Stuck on a Fence Post,” an charming new children’s book by author Edie Boatright.
In “Stuck on a Fence Post,” Farmer John placed the little turtle on the fence post to keep the turtle safe while he mowed. Upon reading this book, young readers will ponder on what happens when you get stuck on a fence post. This can be a real problem if you are a turtle. How do you get down? You certainly can’t call the fire department. What do you do?

Boatright retired in 2015 after more than 35 years working as an executive assistant. In 2010, she received a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in writing from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. She lives in Fair Grove, Missouri, with her husband, Ken. They have two sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and five grandchildren.
